Track & Field Season Information
Eligibility: Open to all active parishioners grades K through 8. We encourage all to play regardless of skill level or experience.
Registration: February - Early March
Fees: $95 paid by credit card on St. Sue Booster’s website.
Why?: Track and Field is a GREAT sport for kids to test their individual skills, and enhance their mobility, fitness, and overall health in a team environment. The time commitment is minimal, but the benefits are large, encouraging kids to exercise and stay healthy. Track also makes a great "second" sport, keeping kids in shape year round with minimal time commitment that other sports have!
Season/Meets: Approximately 10 weeks, and 8 meets at various local high schools. K-6 are on Saturdays, and 7-8 are on Friday evenings.
Practices: Typically 1 practice a week for 60 minutes. Some older grades may have 2 practices. Days of practice are scheduled at the availability of our volunteer coaches after registration.
Our Goals: Enhance each child's love of exercise, running, and providing a solid foundation for health and wellness, while reinforcing the importance of our faith in all we do.
Coaches Corner: Parents are encouraged to volunteer to be head coaches and assistant coaches for all grades. No experience is necessary, and free training sessions are available before the season starts.
